The arts are essential in affecting our children’s academic and social development, their cognitive development, problem solving and fine motor skills, and their creativity and imagination. Research has shown that integrating the arts into the curriculum can:
· improve students' overall academic performance,
· show that students actively engaged in arts education are likely to have higher test scores than those with little or no involvement,
· develop skills needed such as critical thinking, creative problem solving, effective communication and teamwork,
· teach students to be more tolerant and open,
· allow students to express themselves creatively and bolster their self-confidence,
· keep students engaged in school, which will make them less likely to drop out.
We offer a diverse arts curriculum which includes:
- visual arts
- ballet and tap
- drama/theatre
